Mystery of the Lemon Tentacle
I had to research and write science comics all day; I needed a warm-up/cool-down drawing just so that I could say I drew today.

Jobs With Justice
A few years ago I did a poster and tee shirt for Jobs With Justice, an organization that fights for workers' rights. To stress the heroic nature of the everyday laborer, I chose the ubiquitous "worm's eye" perspective used for superhero images. The rainbow background for the one image is an obvious nod to Superfriends. Oh, and I also designed the logo, too. (There are only so many ways you can use the Colorado flag, though.) I love the Judas Priest logo so I used a copycat font for the "tour" tee shirt. If I remember correctly, all the cities on the back of the tour shirt are the local chapters of Jobs With Justice, and their delegates held a summit in Detroit. The face of the nurse holding the baby has that awkward, "Take your stupid photo so I can give this baby back to her mom" look to it.

YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE
I'm a huge fan of the original James Bond novels by Ian Fleming. They're the first adult books I ever read, starting back in second grade. I'm one of those annoying people who keeps saying, "I wish the Bond film producers would just re-adapt the novels, since many of them only ever utilized the titles, scrapping the plot itself." Really, I always say this, mainly to unsuspecting passersby who give me a disgusted look and run away.

DENVER COMIC CON 2013 "FRENCH CAFE" POSTER
This here poster is the official variant poster to the 2013 Denver Comic Con (the "regular" poster was created by J. Scott Campbell). I was fortunate enough to be asked by one of the founders of the convention to create the poster. The Denver Comic Con merchandise booth got half the copies and I got the other half. I'm unsure of the total number of copies printed but I think it's around 150. I still have a few left so if you'd like one, please contact me at scorpiosteele@gmail.com for price. The size is 11" X 17".
